COLLOQUIUM CONTRIBUTORS AND PARTICIPANTS The Colloquium convened a group of speakers, facilitators, and participants that included a cross-section of U.S. higher education and education abroad programs; leaders—both on U.S. campuses and from among study abroad program providers, as well as educational and professional association representatives—to present their views, discuss various aspects of the issue, and set out recommended actions to affirmatively engage a more representative group of students among the education abroad population.
As a part of the Proceedings from the Colloqium on Diversity in Education Abroad, AED has included, "Challenging the Status Quo: A Plan for Action, A Call for Organizational Change".
NOTES FROM THE COLLOQUIUM ON DIVERSITY IN EDUCATION ABROAD
 The keynote address of the AED Colloquium on Diversity in Education Abroad was delivered by Eileen B. Wilson-Oyelaran of Kalamazoo College. Dr. Wilson-Oyelaran spoke on "Diversity in Education Abroad: Why It Matters to the Nation".
The first panel presentation of the Colloquium included a presentation by David Comp of the University of Chicago. His presentation addressed the topic of "What we know about diversity in education abroad".
As a part of her prepared remarks, Margery Ganz of Spelman College presented "10 Ways to Get Students Overseas" during a session dedicated to the question of "What is working in acheiving diversity in education abroad".
