AED works closely
with the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) to provide university admissions
services for Saudi scholarship recipients at the undergraduate, Master's,
professional, and PhD levels at U.S. colleges and universities.
Since January, 2008, AED’s Saudi Admissions Team has been
placing new King Abdullah Scholarship Program (KASP) students into intensive
English language programs. While
students are in the U.S. improving their English skills, our team researches
academic program opportunities appropriate to each student’s academic goals and
admissions credentials and assists with the application process.
If you are a U.S. university-based Intensive English Program (IEP) provider, or if
you represent a U.S. university interested in enrolling Saudi students in your
academic programs, please contact us at capadmissions@aed.org
or via the link at the bottom of this page.
Message for King Abdullah
Scholarship (KASP) Students:
Congratulations on your award of a King Abdullah
Scholarship! We hope that this is an
excellent educational experience for you. We think that you will find your studies in the United States to be an exciting, challenging, and worthwhile experience.
We work very closely with the Saudi Arabian Cultural
Mission (SACM) to place scholarship students into English programs and academic
programs in the US. Like SACM, our office is in
Washington, DC, and we are here to provide individualized attention to you
during the application and admissions process.
Our admissions team at AED places you into your Intensive
English program and processes the paperwork (I-20 forms) that you (and your
dependents, if applicable) need to secure a U.S. visa.
Once you arrive in the US, our team works with you to enroll you into your academic degree
program. We contact you to collect any
additional information we need from you to work on your academic placement. As we match you to an appropriate degree
program, we consider many factors: your English language program location, your
interests, your major, university rankings, your GPA (grade point average),
your previous educational and professional experiences, and the number of Saudi
students at each university. We cannot
guarantee admissions into a particular university, but we will listen to your
interests and apply you to the best universities that you can get admitted to. We will also inform you about testing
requirements and university application deadlines and will answer any questions
that you have about the admissions process.
You can learn more about us, see the answers to some
frequently asked questions (FAQS), and update your contact information so that
we can easily communicate with you at: http://kasp.aed.org
Best Wishes,
AED Admissions Team
